Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Capron Media. They cover our website (capronmedia.com), your client portal, and everything you buy from us. Please read them. If you use our website or portal, or buy anything from us, you agree to them.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Capron Media is run by Spencer Capron in Middleborough, Massachusetts. "We" and "us" mean Capron Media. "You" means the person who uses our website or portal, and the business that person acts for.
Some things we sell have their own plan terms. You see them when you buy. Plan terms add to these terms. If the two disagree, the plan terms apply to that plan.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and what we do with it. It is part of these terms.
2. Your account
To buy anything from us you need a member account on our website. An account on its own costs nothing and does not include any service. Each thing you buy (a subscription, an SEO Audit, SEO Projects or SEO Consulting) is added to your account. SEO Audits, SEO Projects and SEO Consulting are sold only inside your client portal, to members with a Lite or paid subscription.
You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding agreement. Our services are for businesses. If you sign up for a business, you confirm you have its permission.
Keep your login details private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else has used it, email us right away.
3. What we sell
-
Lite subscription. Free. Shows you data about one website you choose. We do not do any work on your website under Lite. You can send consulting requests, up to the allowance shown in your portal. A consulting request is a request for a quote.
-
Starter subscription. A monthly subscription. Each week we make the highest priority improvements to one website. The number we make each week is stated on our Pricing page.
-
SEO Audit. A one-time report on a website you choose. We deliver it in the time shown at checkout. A faster option may be offered at checkout for an extra charge.
-
SEO Consulting. Advice from Spencer. A strategy session is booked in your portal at its listed price. Diagnosis and Ongoing advisory are quoted and agreed before they start.
-
SEO Projects. A defined piece of work, quoted and agreed before it starts.
Our website and checkout describe what each one includes, and what it does not. Current prices are on our Pricing page and at checkout. The price you agree at checkout is the price you pay for that purchase.
4. One subscription, one website
Each subscription covers one website. If you want us to work on more than one website, you need one subscription for each.
If a website is already linked to another client's account, you cannot add it yourself. We review those cases by hand. This does not apply to SEO Audits. You can order an SEO Audit of any public website.
5. Paying us
Payments are taken through our website platform, Wix, and its payment providers. We do not receive or store your full card number.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method each month.
If we offer an introductory price, it lasts for the period stated when you buy. After that, your subscription continues at the standard price shown at checkout. An introductory price is not a minimum term. You can still cancel at any time.
If we change the standard price of a subscription, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
If a payment fails, we may pause the work until it is paid.
6. No contract. Cancel any time.
There is no minimum term. You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account on our website. That is also where you manage your payment details.
When you cancel, your subscription does not renew. When your cancellation takes effect, and what happens to your access and our work until then, follow the purchase terms shown at checkout and in your account. Once your cancellation takes effect, you are not charged again. A free Lite subscription ends as soon as you cancel it. If anything about your cancellation is not what you expected, email us.
When a subscription ends, we stop working on your website and stop the data collection the subscription paid for. Our website and systems still keep the records our Privacy Policy describes, for example if you sign in again. We may still collect public information about your website, for example if it competes with another client's. What happens to your information after that is in our Privacy Policy.
7. Refunds
-
Subscriptions. We do not refund a month that has started. If something went wrong, email us and we will look at it.
-
SEO Audits. Once you order an SEO Audit, you cannot cancel it yourself. If you need to cancel, email us. If we have not started your audit, we refund it in full. If we have started it, we decide case by case.
-
SEO Consulting and SEO Projects. Refund terms are in the quote you accept. For a strategy session, they are in the SEO Consulting terms shown when you book.
8. Access to your website and accounts
To work on your website under a paid subscription, we need access to it, usually as a co-owner or admin.
Under a Lite subscription, giving us access to your website is optional. If you give it, we may use it to read information about your website for the features Lite includes.
To show your search and visitor data, we ask for read access to your Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
You choose whether to give us this access. You can remove it at any time. Without it, some parts of the service will not work.
We use this access to provide the service you bought, and as our Privacy Policy describes. We do not change your website under a Lite subscription.
When your subscription ends, we stop using your access. We will remove our access within 14 days of the end, and we ask you to remove it too.
You are responsible for keeping your own backup of your website, and for any changes made by you or by anyone else you let into it.
9. What we promise, and what we do not
We will do the work with care and skill. We follow search engines' published guidelines, and we do not use the tactics we list as off limits on our Pricing page.
No one controls how search engines rank a website. We do not promise any ranking, traffic, inquiry or sales result. Nothing we show you is a promise of one.
Some data in your portal comes from outside providers. It is an estimate, and it can be wrong or late.
Some text in your portal and in our emails is written by software. It is checked automatically before you see it. We label that text "Drafted and checked automatically". Paid SEO Audits are reviewed and approved by Spencer before you receive them.
10. Your information and our work
You keep all rights to your website and to the information, text and images you give us. You give us permission to use them to provide, secure and improve the service, and as our Privacy Policy describes.
You are responsible for making sure the facts you give us about your business are true. We write changes to match those facts. If your facts are wrong, the changes may be wrong too.
When we make changes to your website, those changes are yours once the month they belong to is paid for. Our reports, audits and portal belong to us. You may use them for your own business, including sharing them with your team and your advisers. Do not resell them or remove our branding.
11. Audits of other websites
You can order an SEO Audit or a free check of any public website, even one you do not own. For a website you have not connected and verified as yours, these use only public information about it, including data from search data providers. Do not use them to harass anyone, to break the law, or to break any other website's terms.
12. Using our website and portal fairly
Do not:
try to get into anyone else's account or data, or into parts of our systems you are not given;
copy, scrape or resell our portal, reports or data, except as section 10 allows;
disrupt our website or portal, or try to get around limits we set;
use our services for anything unlawful, deceptive or harmful.
We may suspend an account that does any of these things. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
13. Services we rely on
Our service relies on outside providers, including Wix, Google, search data providers and AI providers. If one of them goes down or changes how it works, parts of our service may be late or unavailable. We will tell you if this affects your work for more than a week.
14. Limits on our liability
We provide our website, portal and data as they are. As far as the law allows:
we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data or indirect losses; and
our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the money you actually paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
15. Your responsibility to us
If someone makes a claim against us because of information you gave us, content you asked us to publish, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
16. Ending or suspending service
We may end a subscription or close an account if you break these terms, if a payment is not made, or if we stop offering a service. Unless the reason is serious misuse, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email. If we end a paid subscription for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund any part of a month you paid for and did not receive.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will post the new version here with its date. For a change that affects what you have paid for, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
18. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. If we have a disagreement, please email us first and we will try to sort it out within 30 days. If we cannot, either of us may bring a claim in the courts of Massachusetts, or in a small claims court where you are.
19. Notices and contact
We send notices to the email address on your account. You can reach us at spencer@capronmedia.com. Capron Media is based in Middleborough, Massachusetts.
If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
